MEET DR. KIMBERLY WHITMAN

Practicing since 2010

Untitled

Dr. Whitman is an Army Veteran, having been deployed to Operation Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. Her active duty service in the U.S. Army at Fort Bliss provided for practical experience including cultural and ethnic diversity, assessing gender differences, along with an interest in examining risk factors and correlates of several psychiatric disorders, trauma informed care, substance use, suicide risk and criminal justice mental health. Dr. Whitman has investigated risk factors and resilience factors associated with the long term physical and mental health outcomes related to traumatic events.

It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the start of treatment.
